Having worked with hundreds of dental offices offering membership plans and from my own experience, patients say “Yes” to treatment when they do not have the restrictions of dental insurance. Back in 2014, it wasn’t long after we implemented our membership plan that we saw an uptick in FMX radiographs, exams and even fluoride treatments. FFS patients were hesitant to agree to radiographs or visit every 6 months, rather stretching out routine cleanings, doctor checks and X-rays. Membership patients behave differently. The say “Yes” to included services when it comes with the package. That means more regular visits and the ability to diagnose, delivering better care and the chance to catch necessary treatment early. A win-win for the patient and for your office.
